![]() | Downway-Kacknacker-CD Ummmm...well this is a decent CD and I use that term pretty loosely. Downway, from Calgary, belts out 15 punk songs, very much in the vein of Face To Face. Maybe a bit too much. But Downway continues to win the crowd over in their hometown so I give them credit. A few catchy songs like "Jack That Tastes Like Rye" or the CD opener "Jenny's Forest". I dont know whats up with the song "Heard Your Were Gay"...not even sure if I wanna know with these guys. But overall, decent. Hourglass Records-P.O. Box 223, 440 - 10816 Macleod Trail S. ![]() | Lagwagon-Let's Talk About Feelings-CD Well one thing's for sure. This CD beats the crap out of "Double Plaidinum" and i think even "Hoss". I think it comes in right behind "Trashed" and "Duh". Well i guess Lagwagon is pretty much half RKL now with the addition of the old RKL guitarist. The highlight of this album would have to be "Gun In Your Hand". A lot of other pretty good songs and sweet artwork. www.fatwreck.com [Review By Jeff GreenPea] |
![]() | Sick Of It All-Built To Last-CD Well this is an OK CD from punk veterans Sick Of It All, but there are only a couple good songs on this disc. The title track "Built To Last" I think is the best song on the CD. Sick Of It All blends the hardcore vocals with melody driven guitars and solid hard drumming whihc is really good together, but the arrangement needs something in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the CD isn't crap, but I think Sick Of It All has it in them to make an even better CD. ![]() | Strife-One Truth-CD This CD is rad, but if you heard "In This Defiance" first, you might think this CD is crappy. I really like Strife's style! They have totally insane vocals, nice guitar work and tone, and once again, very solid drum work. But if you want to buy a CD from this straight edge crew, I'd pick up their newest album... ![]() | Ten Foot Pole-Unleashed-CD This is the 3rd full length CD from these Epitaph Veterans, but the first without Scott Radinsky on vocals...but you know what??? I think this CD kicks the crap outta anything Ten Foot Pole has ever recorded. Tons of catchy songs fill this CD...My personal favorites, "Daddy", "John" & "What You Want". 13 songs and not a minute of crap! Their drumming is totally solid, very catchy riffs, smooth vocals with even smoother backups. Oh yeah, very crisp, definite bass lines too. Get it and get it NOW!
